David Sena joined Northlands Rescue Mission in 1999. He has served as executive director since 2001.
Dave graduated form the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado, with a bachelor of science degree in computer science.
As a commissioned officer for the Air Force, Dave had the opportunity to visit many churches throughout the United States. After visiting his parents in Grand Forks, where they had retired, God began to work a in Dave’s life that would lead him to accept a position as chaplain for Grand Forks Mission and Service Center, now known as Northlands Rescue Mission.
Under Dave’s leadership, the Mission has educated the community on the needs of the homeless and poor and called individuals, families and businesses to come alongside this ministry. At the same time, the number of men and women needed refuge and relief from their circumstances has increased greatly. Today, over 100 people sleep in the security and comfort of our facility each night.
Dave has spoken in hundreds of churches over the past ten years. He continues to advocate for the homeless and encourage people to embrace change in an online world. As an ordained pastor, he encourages churches to dream bigger, go farther and see Jesus in their everyday life.
Dave and his wife, Silvia, live in Minnesota.
